Industry mega-trade publication WWD released the honoree slate for the 2022 American Image Awards celebration taking place, for the first time in two years, LIVE at The Plaza Hotel here in New York City on Monday, April 26th, 2022 @ 6:00 PM.  VERY New York public relations is beyond thrilled a more than a little bit honored to be producing the event for the 3rd straight year under our moniker.

The honoree slate will be celebrated at the event that takes place in the iconic & historic Grand Ballroom at The Plaza for their contributions to the industry we all serve & love. Each will receive an award statuette designed by the creative duo Isabelle & Ruben Toledo & will be introduced by a person of note before being asked to the stage to accept the honor. The event kicks off at 6:00 PM in the Terrace Ballroom at a cocktail reception with red carpet arrivals.

The slate:

Company of the Year:  Gap, accepted by Sonia Syngas, CEO

Designer of the Year:  Prabal Gurung

Fashion Maverick:  ThirdLove, accepted by Heidi Zak, CEO & Co-founder

Eco-Steward of the Year: Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Fashion Initiative

People TV’s Segun Oduolowu will return as Emcee for this year’s event after having hosted the virtual event last year. Also cause to celebrate, the CFDA will be returning for the 6th straight year as the event’s charitable beneficiary.
