PopStyleTV, the place to visit on the web for all things pop culture, covered Willy Chavarria’s being named Designer of the Year at the 2023 American Image Awards.  Now in their 47th year, the American Image Awards are owned & produced by the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), the organization who gives fashion a voice on Capital Hill in Washington, DC.

VERY New York public relations has been lucky enough to be producing the annual awards Gala for the last several years (9 or 10 to be exact, but who’s counting besides us???). This year’s event is returning to The Plaza Hotel in New York City on Tuesday, April 25th @ will 6:00 PM when Willy Chavarria will be accepting the Designer of the Year Award, New Balance will be accepting the Company of the Year Award, Harlem’s Fashion Row will be accepting the Fashion Maverick Award, William McDonough will be accepting the Eco-Steward of the Year Award, & the World Trade Organization will be accepting the Global Vanguard Award.

This year’s event will once again raise funds for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
