Industry insider Gary Wassner, the  CEO of Hilldun Corp., one of the fashion industry’s most valued business partners has made a career of searching for the newest & greatest companies. He has sniffed out some of the most notable names in the business. Fashion Group International (FGI), has also been responsible for discovering some of the most accomplished names in our industry as well. So, when Gary was asked to cover NYFW for the FGI newsletter that is sent our as a daily recap of the day’s activities, it was a natural fit.

Imagine our elation when we opened the e-mail from FGI & found out that Gary wrote about VERY New York public relations client VERDAVAINNE as one of Gary’s “Ones to Watch” series! We couldn’t believe it! However, we weren’t surprised, because Cyril Verdavainne’s collection truly left us mesmerized.

Staged at the iconic Cipriani on Wall Street, Cyril sent his models down a long runway covered in red carpet (a less than subtle suggestion perhaps???) with the photographers snapping shots like paparazzi. The audience was left riveted to each look, iPhones in hand, anxiously awaiting the next look.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a debut collection make such waves in NYFW & we couldn’t be more thrilled for Cyril & his team. Congratulations Cyril & thank you Gary!
