Rory Worby creates her masterpieces from her studio located just north of New York City using ancient techniques modernized just enough to give them life in today’s fast paced, high-tech world. Every step of her process is by hand, from the pre-washing of the base fabric to the stretching, painting & steaming of the printed pieces… all with materials & equipment that are as sustainable as possible (no chemicals in this studio!).  Then, after meeting with her exacting standards on the creative side, she works with her seamstress, herself an Afghan refugee now living her in the US, to transform her printed fabric into the scarves, caftans, slip dresses, pillows & throws for which she is rapidly becoming known as the “go to artist” by the most discriminating fashion aesthetes amongst us.
